The Broad River Paddle Trail features a series of improved river access locations which include parking, signage, and a safe river access for paddlers and adventurers to enjoy this outstanding natural resource and outdoor recreation asset.
The Tourism Development Authority and Rutherford County, in partnership with the RHI Legacy Foundation, the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, and Duke Energy, have developed two new access areas along the Broad River where it intersects with US Highways 221 and 221A. Funding for both projects has been secured and construction is now complete. Meanwhile, efforts continue to identify and secure additional access points along this exciting and adventure-filled waterway.
